INTEC Rare Earth Elements


The Intec Process has also been successfully applied to the extraction and recovery of rare earth elements.


In 2011, a laboratory programme successfully produced 99% purity separated rare earth oxides from an industrial waste containing neodymium and dysprosium, using a combination of a highly-selective Intec Process leach, with a very simple separation and recovery step based on conventional technology.



This work was supported by one of Australia’s pre-eminent research institutions, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO, Minerals Division).


INTEC International Projects is now keenly examining project opportunities among rare earth-bearing ores, concentrates and industrial wastes that are free of phosphate.
